Meet Delegate Barry Knight
Barry D. Knight was born and raised in Virginia and has worked his whole life in agri-business with a strong dedication to supporting the local economy and protecting citizens’ rights. Barry’s solid work ethic and common-sense approach has helped him develop one of the most productive hog farming businesses in Hampton Roads. Strongly committed to giving back to the community, Barry decided to focus his time on public service and now serves as the Delegate for Virginia’s 81st District in the Virginia General Assembly. Barry chairs the powerful House Appropriations Committee.
Barry began working odd jobs at just 14 years of age to help support his family. He worked on a neighbor’s farm and also spent time as a long-haul trucker until he saved enough money to purchase his own farm. Over the years, Barry turned a small plot of land into a thriving business, Barry D. Knight Farms, with 480 acres of land that now produces 12,000 finished hogs a year.
Barry served as the president of the Tidewater Pork Producers from 1984 to 1990, and in 1995, he was appointed to the Virginia Pork Board by Governor George Allen and re-appointed by Governor Jim Gilmore. Barry is the vice-president of the Virginia Beach Farm Bureau, a former chairman of the Southern States Cooperative, and former secretary of the Creeds Ruritans.

Meet Senator John Cosgrove
Last August, Senator Cosgrove was appointed in a bi-partisan vote as Vice Chair of JCOTS (Joint Committee on Technology and Science). JCOTS studies all aspects of technology and science and endeavors to stimulate, encourage, promote, and assist in the development of technology and science in the Commonwealth and make sound public policies.
Senator John Cosgrove served on the Chesapeake City Council and then as Vice Mayor before being elected to the House of Delegates in 2001. He represented the citizens of the 78th House District for over 12 years. In 2013 he was elected to the Virginia Senate representing the 14th Senate District, which includes parts of Chesapeake, VA Beach, Suffolk, Portsmouth, Southampton Co., Isle of Wight, and Franklin. He serves on 3 committees in the Senate - Transportation, Ed and Health, & Rehabilitation and Social Services
He is a graduate of TCC and ODU where he received his BS in Engineering. He is married to Sue Cosgrove and they have 2 boys who are graduates of Great Bridge High School.
Senator Cosgrove is a huge supporter of Public Safety, and Veterans. In his 20 years as a State Legislator he has received numerous awards and accolades.

From I-264 West take the Independence Blvd - Pembroke exit. Continue up Independence to Virginia Beach Blvd. and turn right. Continue to Central Park Ave. and turn right. The Armada Hoffler Tower Parking Garage entrance will be on your left next to California Pizza Kitchen.
City Club members and guests should take the South Elevator to the lobby. Exit to the right and turn right at the flower shop. Take this set of elevators to the 2nd floor and exit left into the Town Center City Club.

The Republican Professionals Network (RPN) is an organization of Business and Occupational Professionals who are Republican. In addition to being a Political Action Committee, the Republican Professionals Network also serves as a Networking Organization. The RPN was founded in 1997 by its Chairman, Bruce Meyer and typically holds a Dinner Meeting with a special guest speaker the third Monday of each month at the City Club located in the Virginia Beach Town Center. The RPN Board of Directors are the governing body of the
Republican Professionals Network.
